If you change this setting to 2, you will have to double click on a value to edit it. Some users (including myself) find this irritating, as it makes selecting images without editing values complicated. Here is a brief description of each of those settings: General settings Mouse click count to edit By default Geotag starts editing a value in the images table as soon as you click on it. suggest having the drawer as a top-down drawer or move from LR instead of RL, or cut size by 50%+ using MM/DD/YY and better transport controls for realtime. plus, the realtime controls are in there, which makes it hard to start it, close the drawer, resize the window, get on the bike, and do the workout. sometimes it is WAY out there and I have to resize and drag it around. I realize it is supposed to be a contextual menu, but it just not intuitive. the side drawer thing is very difficult to work with and incredibly confusing.I usually tweet my rides afterward, and have begun using training peaks (was using Garmin connect and Polar Personal Trainer before). I dont use a GPS service, but am very interested in riding routes I have ridden outside, as well as racing. The advanced metrics are helpful, but I am primarily interested in tracking totals, summaries, etc. I use my non GPS watch on my bike when indoors, so that I can replicate efforts and performance when outside. I want to start GC, get into realtime, watch the metrics of interest while I ride, and then do some analysis and tracking afterward. UI/UX - in terms of UX personas, I'm a mid-leel user who isnt training for big races or competitions, just personal improvement, love of cycling, and fitness.Default value could be last value entered. It would help me feed good data into the program to track for me. I dont like to go into my settings every time I drop a few pounds (or gain them back). workout notes metric should add a spot for easily entering your weight. This space (and others) could be optimized, which would really help with the pull/drag/scroll/resize issues. The ride summary and other screens have very small fonts and alot of white space between the chunks of text.its like the data points are floating out there, and the zones are crunched to one side of the other. All the metrics and analyses that were displayed on V2 suffer from this "disconnection" from HR zones. #Garmin ant agent mac windows#
If you currently use Wunderlist, you may have gotten the recent email about Wunderlist support ending. I have tasks going back to 2014 on Wunderlist that To Do even imported. Microsoft To Do has included an import feature to pull your entire Wunderlist account, completed tasks, old lists, and all. Transition from WunderlistĪ short note about making the switch from Wunderlist: It is extremely easy. I also like how you can choose a different background picture or theme for each list. It also makes several improvements in the user experience (UX) and design. #Best wunderlist replacement freeIn short, To Do beats Wunderlist in terms of free features and retains Wunderlist’s user interface (UI). I would say Microsoft has improved the UI over what Wunderlist was already doing. The various buttons work will for touch and mouse. Also, To Do appears to have been designed with touch-ready screens in mind. #Best wunderlist replacement how toIf you have been using Wunderlist, you will already know where everything is and basically how to use To Do. If you have a Microsoft account, all these features come free.įinally, To Do looks like Wunderlist. These were premium/paid features on Wunderlist. Perhaps the coolest thing about To Do is that you can assign tasks to other To Do users and create shared lists. Who knows? I rarely use “My Day,” but it is there for people. Why include this is you already have an “important tasks” feature. Microsoft at that time also had added a “My Day” feature, which, I suppose, is there for you to pick tasks from your “scheduled tasks” and put them at the forefront. And there was no ability to print and email lists to others. And there was no ability to set recurring tasks. Microsoft had taken the outward appearance of Wunderlist but removed nearly all the useful features that made Wunderlist what it was: simple and effective.Īt first, Microsoft had basically just made a simple to do checkbox application that allowed users to set due dates and reminders. When I first covered Microsoft To Do, my review was less than positive. I cannot think of one Wunderlist feature that To Do is not capable of handling, and for “free” (more on that below). Microsoft To Do is feature-rich and aesthetically pleasing. They are: (i) yes, with more features included, (ii) yes, (iii) that is up to you, but very likely, and (iv) no, especially if you are integrated with Microsoft applications (Office 365). If you have those above questions, I have some answers. I only tried it out for a couple days when it first came out because I was reviewing it for Lawptimal, and then went right back to using Wunderlist. If you are at all like I was, you totally ignored Microsoft To Do at first. Will the features be the same? Will I be able to keep my old tasks? Can I manage tasks in an efficient manner? Maybe most important, will it cost me money? Now that Microsoft has stepped in, you might wonder how the transition will go. Either way, it feels like a good friend is going away forever. #Best wunderlist replacement softwareYou might have been using the software since its inception, or maybe, even just a few months or weeks. You might be a little bummed, maybe even upset…maybe (at the end of the day it is just task management software). If you use Wunderlist, or follow Lawptimal on Twitter this is not news to you. Wunderlist sent an e-mail to its users notifying them that Wunderlist support will cease forever in favor of Microsoft’s new software, To Do, and urged users to transfer their Wunderlist data by May 6 or risk losing it all. When I heard Microsoft acquired Wunderlist, I asked myself: “Was the best to do platform about to go away?”Įven when Lawptimal covered To Do in the past the question about Wunderlist’s future was always marked with a “?”. It has recurring tasks, subtasks, due dates, reminders, is lean, and best of all, is mostly free. I have been shameless for my love of Wunderlist. How could I not be skeptical? Wunderlist has long been loved by people looking for task management software capable of handling their to-do lists and maybe integrating Getting Things Done (GTD), as I have, and do. Acquiring and basically absorbing Wunderlist into To Do was its way to go. Microsoft’s plan, I have to guess, has always been to integrate a powerful task-management platform into its ecosystem. A great tactic of businesses with extra cash is sometimes to just acquire a smaller business in the best of its class and make it part of the acquiring business’ ecosystem.
Until that happens, I have agreed to do any future large MSFS updates here at my house to avoid this issue happening again, and I have advised him that he should not change his sim data bandwidth settings again - or if he does, to be very sure to put it back on “unlimited” before any scheduled sim updates are released. There are plenty of wonders to see in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The good news (for my friend) is that high speed fiber is coming to his area later this year, so he will eventually no longer be dependent on the satellite internet service. I know that some individuals have been able to solve file looping by using a third-party bandwidth manager like Net Limiter, but in this case, limited bandwidth (in MSFS’s own settings), was the cause of the looping, not the solution. #MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2020 DOWNLOAD FREE DOWNLOAD#So, at least in this case, download failures and file looping were definitely caused by MSFS own internal data settings - it had nothing to do with the servers or the ISP. Indeed, I found that his bandwidth setting was at 5MB, and I put it back to “unlimited”. Once all updates were fully installed, which took about 45 minutes, I then logged back into my friend’s own X-Box account, so I had access to “his” MSFS settings. #MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2020 DOWNLOAD FREE UPDATE#The update came in at 90-100MB just as it does on my own computer. #MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2020 DOWNLOAD FREE FULL#As soon as I started the game, it immediately started downloading WU4 at full speed, since my own bandwidth setting is “unlimited”. We both have the same version of MSFS, (Deluxe Premium), so when logging in under my own account, all my cloud-stored MSFS settings were available. What I finally did was to log out of his X-Box account and log in under my own account. The settings for the game are stored in the cloud - and without access to the settings, his system would basically be stuck at 5MB forever and in an infinite update loop. But the only way to change that limit is in the options menu, and the only way to get access to that menu is to have a fully functional game - and because of the required update, there was no way to get to that point. The file looping and download failure was evidently beIng caused by the 5 MB bandwidth limit set inside MSFS. I asked if he had changed any of the data settings in MSFS, and he said that he had set a bandwidth limit of 5MB in the “data” section, because he found that otherwise MSFS would hog all of his satellite bandwidth and cause problems with other family member’s devices trying to stream at the same time. This on the same internet connection and router that supports 100MB+ download speeds in MSFS on my own computer. But, I saw the very same issue he was having - the download speed was only 5MB, and the files would loop. I figured I could complete the download of WU4 here. So I had him bring the computer up to my house. His service does not block the internet entirely when over the data limit for the month, but does reduce the bandwidth to a very low bit rate. I assumed he might already have exceeded his monthly satellite data cap. He told me that the computer kept trying to download the same file over and over again, and never got past 2 percent complete. He took the computer home, and ran the sim with no problems for about a month. I brought his new computer to my house to do the initial installation of the sim using my cable internet - (this was right after the release of WU3). Like my own system, the download was fast and trouble free. #MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2020 DOWNLOAD FREE PC#When he decided to purchase MSFS, he acquired a new Alienware PC to run it. His only internet option is via satellite, and while it is reasonably fast, the service has a hard data cap of 80GB per month. I’ve done two full reinstalls, and all the various patches and world updates, and the files always come down at between 95 and 100 with no looping whatsoever.Ī friend of mine lives about 20 miles south of here in a rural area. I have a 200 MB cable internet connection, (northeastern US) and have never had the slightest problem downloading MSFS from the beginning of the Alpha to the present. A short documentary, Inland with Sturt (1951), was based on it. In 1951, he took part in a re-enactment of Charles Sturt's voyage down the Murrumbidgee and Murray Rivers, playing Sturt's offsider, George Macleay. Earlier in his career he had to support himself by working at Sydney's Mark Foy's department store, designing and painting window and other displays during the day. Taylor acquired extensive radio and stage experience in Australia, where his radio work included a period on Blue Hills and a role as Tarzan. He decided to become an actor after seeing Laurence Olivier in an Old Vic touring production of Richard III. For a time he worked as a commercial artist. His mother wanted him to be an artist, which pressured him into taking the art classes. Taylor attended Parramatta High School and later studied at the East Sydney Technical and Fine Arts College and took art classes. His middle name comes from his great-great-granduncle, Captain Charles Sturt, a British explorer of the Australian outback in the 19th century. Taylor was born on 11 January 1930 in Lidcombe, a suburb of Sydney, the only child of William Sturt Taylor, a steel construction contractor and commercial artist, and Mona Taylor (née Thompson), a writer of more than a hundred short stories and children's books. His final film role was in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds in 2009, portraying a fictionalized version of Winston Churchill in a cameo. By the late 1990s, Taylor had moved into semi-retirement. In one of his most famous roles, he played Mitch Brenner in The Birds, directed by Alfred Hitchcock (1963). He later starred in the Disney film One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961), as Pongo. He started to gain popularity after starring in The Time Machine (1960), as H. He soon started acting in television films, such as Studio 57 (1954), where he played multiple different characters. He made his feature film debut in the Australian Lee Robinson film King of the Coral Sea (1954). At the time, he was also appearing in a number of theatre productions for Australia's Mercury Theatre. His first film role was in a re-enactment of Charles Sturt's voyage down the Murrumbidgee and Murray Rivers, playing Sturt's offsider, George Macleay. He began taking art classes in high school, and continued in college. “It’s become a very successful business, because of the level of quality. “So, I do it for fun,” Trump told me over lunch, as we discussed his courses. In fact, if Trump could be persuaded to spend his entire term playing golf, we might all be better off. He believed that Presidents, especially, need access to forms of recreation that provide temporary sanctuary from the extraordinary pressures of the office, and golf is certainly one of those. 6 among golf-playing Presidents, one spot below his father) defended Obama. Eisenhower, who was the most avid golfer ever to be President, and whom Golf Digest ranked just behind J.F.K. No other President would have had much of a chance in a match against him-including Dwight D. Kennedy, who not only looked and dressed the part but also played quite well, despite his horrendous back problems. His closest rival, according to a ranking that Golf Digest put together several years ago, would have been John F. He’s a good player, and, even without adjusting for his age, he’s probably the best of the many golfers who have been President of the United States. The reason for this may be that golf is a subject Trump actually knows something about. They also appear to be more successful, as businesses and investments, than many of his other businesses and investments, especially the casinos and his so-called university. Trump owns or manages seventeen courses, including two in Scotland, one in Ireland, and one in the Bronx, and most of them are highly regarded-and not only by him. I was working on an article about him for Golf Digest, and the main focus was a course of his that was about to open on the east coast of Scotland, near Aberdeen. (The names of Trump’s courses all begin with “Trump,” so to keep them straight you have to refer to them by location.) At the time, Trump wasn’t even a joke Presidential candidate, so there was no ominous music playing in the background, foreshadowing the tragedy to come. Five years ago, I spent most of a day with Donald Trump, at one of the many golf courses he owns, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Simple mechanics like a dash that can move you through enemy attacks are incredibly intuitive. Super sharp gunplay with a wide variety of weapons left most of my deaths feeling like my fault. The development team’s expertise at this sort of title shines through. The game’s look just works like a trojan horse to sneak them in. Beneath the high production values, there are actually a lot of arcade elements here. Enemies attack in recognizable patterns that wouldn’t feel out of place in a game like Smash TV. In each area, you’ll find some combination of enemies, items, and information. You fight your way through six biomes, one area at a time. While the stunning forests, haunting interiors, and desolate deserts you’ll fight your way through feel removed from Housemarque’s past titles, their DNA is actually thoroughly embedded in Returnal. Searching for a white shadow radio signal that you picked up in space, you’ll soon find that there’s a lot more to this planet than you initially thought. You play as Selene, an astronaut who crashes on a world that is constantly shape-shifting. A high-budget, 3D action game on a new flagship system is a big leap from smaller, mostly 2D, arcade-style titles. That something new is Returnal.Īt first glance, Returnal bears no similarity to Housemarque’s past. Citing poor sales, despite wide critical acclaim ( check out our review of Nex Machina!), something new was needed. They were proclaiming, however, that this was over. They were the bread and butter of the studio. All of these were arcade-style games with a modern twist and high production values. Housemarque are the developers behind such retro-inspired titles as Nex Machina, Resogun, and Matterfall. Hadn’t arcades, at least in the US, been pretty much dead for close to 20 years? For those in the know, though, this was a bigger deal. In 2017, developer Housemarque proclaimed that “ Arcade is Dead.” For some players, this probably seemed puzzling.
